Topic of the learning experience

• Learn about approaches to development, learn about the Mona Foundation, and then put these learnings into action with a service project.
• Learning to make a sustainable impact through service leadership in the student’s community.

Intended purpose

• To inspire students to become leaders in their communities.
• To engage students as part of the Mona Foundation’s Youth Ambassador Program in a meaningful way.
• To maintain engagement with the Mona Foundation.

Targeted audience

• High school or college age students living primarily in the U.S.
• Varying gender and racial identities.
• There may be strong Bahai representation due to the foundation’s alignment with Bahai organizations.
• Students whose parents may already be engaged in the Mona foundation.
• Net new students who are interested in community impact, women’s development.

Learning context
